It's my house

Diana Ross uses the following contractions in her song:
  • Gonna: "Going to," as in "I'm gonna see them tonight."
  • Wanna: "Want to," as in "I wanna hold your hand" by the Beatles.
  • Gotta: "Have got to", as in "I gotta go. See you tomorrow."
  • Ya: "You," as in "See ya later."
  • 'Cause: "Because," as in "'Cause it was built for love."

IT'S MY HOUSE, by DIANA ROSS
(Written by Nickolas Ashford/Valerie Simpson)

It's my house and I live here
It's my house and I live here

There's a welcome mat at the door
If you come on in
You're gonna get much more
There's my chair
I put it there
Everything you see
Is love and care

It's my house and I live here
(I wanna tell ya)
It's my house and I live here

There's music on the radio,
And good vibrations won't let you go,
I put my name on the ceiling above,
'Cause it was built for love
It was built for love

Ooooh, huh!
Ooooh!

You say you wanna move in with me
You say you wanna move in with me
Gotta follow the rules to get me
Gotta follow the rules to get me
You wanna visit my house
You say you wanna drop by
Wanna visit my house
To see me

It's my house, my house, yeah
It's my house, my house,

No one, no one gets the prize...
(The beginning of another song, as this was a concert)
